At Pancho’s, the taco selection is nothing short of exceptional. Their corn tortillas cradle an array of expertly prepared meats that highlight regional Mexican fare: from juicy, smoky asada and spicy al pastor to adventurous options like tripa (beef intestine), buche (pork stomach), and the tender, flavorful cecina. Each taco is bursting with flavor, often garnished with fresh grilled onions, crisp radish strips—a delicate crunch that surprises and delights—and accompanied by generous lime wedges that allow you to customize every bite. The salsas are a vibrant complement, ranging from a mild red to zesty green ranchera, creamy guacamole, and fresh pico de gallo, offering a dynamic palette of heat and freshness.
Beyond tacos, Pancho’s serves hearty burritos stuffed with beans, cheese, and a choice of meats, or their California Burrito, which layers in guacamole, sour cream, and salsa to deliver a luscious rich bite every time. The quesadillas here are grilled to perfection with fresh cheese melting inside a soft flour tortilla, while the torta de cecina rounds out the menu with a satisfying Mexican sandwich experience, crafted on telera bread with traditional toppings that, while slightly different from expectations, add to the authentic variety.
One standout that has garnered steady praise is the Asada Fries, a loaded dish that combines crispy fries topped with tender grilled steak, melted cheese, and a generous drizzle of salsa that creates a perfect balance of savory, spicy, and fresh notes—comfort food elevated with a Mexican twist.
Customers consistently highlight the freshness and quality of both the food and the meats available for purchase, emphasizing how Pancho's manages to deliver incredible flavors at prices that feel remarkably affordable. The meat shop side offers specialty cuts like fajita de res, lengua (beef tongue), and pescado, making it a destination for anyone interested in high-quality Mexican ingredients to prepare at home.
The combination of fast, friendly service with truly authentic, bold flavors makes Pancho's Tacos & Meat Shop a rare find. The name sums it up well: Tacos (& tortas & burritos) & a butcher shop. A really out-of-the-box combination but it seems to work so I'm not questioning squat. I went with chorizo and al pastor tacos. They are very good street-style tacos. $2.50 each Packed full, with grilled onions & strips of radish (I know, never saw that before either!) and a bunch of lime wedges (well, half wedges) on the side. Two types of salsa also. I tried one, the red, and it is picante. Muy bueno. (Sorry ) I brought the green home for later use. If you want a beverage, cans & bottles are in the cooler. $2.50 each. The only place to eat is a high counter along one wall. Stools or standing are your options. The music is authentic but too loud. Would've liked a fork to pick up the bits that fell out but fingers still work. Used a lot of napkins.
I would have given them a 5, because in the past they were. Their tacos are amazing. However the last few times I ordered a ton of tacos and ask for no onion, they all had onion. I'm tired of always having to double check my food.
I found a great little Mexican spot that also operates as a meat market. It was lunchtime when I visited, and the seating was limited—about ten seats lined up along a corner counter. The place was definitely busy, but the service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Tables cleared quickly, and there was this seamless, almost invisible flow of traffic that kept everything moving. The food was fresh and flavorful. I ordered tacos a la carte—two asada and two carnitas—plus a California burrito with asada. Of course, I couldn’t skip a refreshing horchata and a Jarritos on the side. The only things I wish were different: it would’ve been nice if salsa and chips were offered complimentary, and the carnitas were a bit on the dry side. Overall, it’s not just a great local spot for tacos and burritos, but also a place I’d want to return to for fresh meat. Definitely worth a visit!
First time here.clean place. The service was great. The food was hot, delicious, and fresh . Great place for meat products to cook and grilled .small counter stool eating area. Tacos taste excellent. Huge portion Price is way cheaper than other large dining restaurants.. we got the steak. Fish .pork .chicken. all taste great The dishes I that got me to here are the Asada fries. Freaking loaded huge portion We both almost couldn't Finnish it . Don't let the small meat shop fool you Their food taste great, huge portion, great price, and definitely will be back
The tacos are very good, as authentic as you'll find them, and the salsas they give are also good. My favorite ones were Pastor and Cecina The place has some seating options but it's a bit small, so most people would take out. I wouldn't recommend Tortas because: the telera is just like a hamburger bread in a telera shape, not what I was expecting tbh. The not so good part: Hm they would ration limes, like literally if you want one slice more you have to pay for it, that's not cool same thing with grilled Chile/salsas you get what you get and "anything else is an extra "
There was an area for seating but most people a sitting waiting on a pick up order. The presentation is awesome portions are good!
